The new SKY Evo allows you to enjoy limitless cable content and android TV functionalities such as access to built-in streaming apps, over 5K+ android TV apps, Google Assistant, and more!

What are the pre-loaded or pre-installed application in the SKY Evo?

Pre-loaded in the SKY Evo are the following applications: YouTube, Amazon Prime Videos, HBO Go, Spotify and iWantTFC

Why can’t I download and access Netflix?

Netflix is not yet available for SKY Evo.

Why can’t I access iWantTFC?

iWantTFC on SKY Evo is now available. Kindly visit mysky.com.ph/skyeyo-iwant for the steps on how to update the iWantTFC app.

Do I need to have a subscription for the OTT applications available in the SKY Evo?

Yes, you need to have a subscription on the OTT applications that you want to access.

Can I use Chromecast to view applications and content on my TV using the SKY Evo digibox?

Yes, you can be able to cast your mobile devices’ screen on Chromecast supported devices and applications. You simply have to press the cast button to activate chromecast on your SKY Evo.

Can I browse the internet in this box?

Yes, you can browse the Internet using the SKY Evo. You may download and use Internet browser application such as Chrome.

Do I need to have a Google account to be able to download applications in the Google Play Store?

Yes, you will be needing to log-in your Google account to be able to access Google Play Store.

Compatibility

Can I connect and access Google Home or smart devices to the SKY Evo?

Yes, you can access your Google Home and smart enabled devices using the Google Assistant of the SKY Evo.

Can I connect my USB storage such as hard drive to view my local media files?

Yes, you may connect your USB thumb drives on the side of the SKY Evo or at the rear if you have a USB portable hard drive. You may view your files using the Media Player app.

Will the SKY On Demand Box Remote App work on the SKY Evo digibox?

No, it will not work. The SKY On Demand Box Remote app can only be paired with the SKY On Demand Box.

There are games that require gaming controllers to be able to play them. Can I connect gaming controllers?

Yes, you can connect your gaming controllers via USB or Bluetooth. Simply go to settings then Bluetooth to start pairing of devices.

What other peripheral devices can I connect to the SKY Evo?

You may connect your keyboards, mouse, web cameras, storage devices and gaming controllers. You may connect them via USB or Bluetooth.

What’s the minimum internet speed requirement to access streaming apps?

The minimum speed required is 16mbps.

Will the SKY Evo work without Internet service?

Yes, you may still be able to watch SKYcable channels and access applications that don’t require Internet.

Will the SKY Evo work using a different Internet service provider?

Yes, you connect to a different Internet service provider to access Internet-dependent applications and services on your SKY Evo.

Viewing

The SKY Evo is capable of 4K video output, is SKYcable already displaying 4K content?

No, as of the moment, SKYcable video output is up to 1080p. You may be able to view 4K content via the OTT streaming applications such as YouTube, Amazon Prime Videos, HBO Go, your local media files and etc.

Can I access both SD and HD channels in this box?

Yes, you can access both SD and HD channels in this box.

Can I still record my favorite shows using this box?

No, iRecord is no longer available on SKY Evo.

Subscription

Do I need to pay an additional monthly service fee on top of my existing plan MSF for the box?

No additional monthly fee. You will just need to pay the monthly service fee of your subscribed plan.

What SKY account will reflect on the My Account Function?

Your SKYcable account or SKY Fiber + HD Cable TV account will be reflected on My Account function. If you have a separate SKY Fiber Account, this will not be reflected.

Can I purchase channels and other VAS on the SKY Evo digibox?

Yes, you can purchase channels and other pay-per-view just by selecting “purchase” on the screen using your remote controller.
